I love his books!!! They are well written, keep me quessing. I cannot wait to get the next book. whenever I get his books I cannot put them down,I read them in one sitting
A Secret to Die For Once again Jake and his three sidekicks--his 70-year-old neighbour, Bonnie; his golden retriever, Fred; and his and Bonnie's cat, Tigger--come through with flying colours. Jake is a first-rate computer nerd, handyman, painter and sleuth. With very little evidence to go on, he manages to put together a web of gossamer clues to trap the murderer(s). It is a joy to read Richard Houston's wholesome books in this world where just about every book, movie, or TV series is filled with graphic sexual content and vile language. And above all, he treats people and animals with dignity and respect. I highly recommend these books. (And I love Fred.)

Enjoyed the series so far.(6books). Can't wait for more. Loved Jake, Fred and Bonnie. You all will too. Jake has a wonderful sleuthing mind and is does Fred for a dog
I'm a sucker for book cover that includes a dog. What's inside the cover needs to provide more than the "awww" factor. The latest in the series does just that. Just enough romance to bind a mystery together into a well written book.
